Anyone know if long bed running boards will fit on a short bed truck? Both trucks are quad cabs. Thanks.

I just picked up a pair of the OEM Cast aluminum running boards on FB Marketplace. They came off of a double cab but will be mounting them onto my access cab. Double cab has 3 brackets but only going to need 2. The underside of the running board has different bracket mount points to be able to mount on any 3rd Gen. I'll post picks when I get around to installing these in the next couple of days.

O.K. As promised I am going to post pics of the cast aluminum running boards. I only had to move 1 of the mounting point brackets to make them fit. There are quite a few bracket mounting points as pictures show. Brackets as shown in edited pic shows bracket locations for access cab. Arrow shows where the 3rd bracket was previously mounted. Truck looks way better without rusted out nerf bars. Huge difference. Much more room to place foot/feet for sure. Also noticing they do give more ground clearance but...they do hang out laterally a few inches more. Definitely better door ding protection.

Just picked up a set of access cab running boards. I know I need to move one of the mounting points as mentioned above but does it matter that the brackets wise? There are two brackets that are the same and the third different one. The installation instructions shows the three of the same brackets so was wondering if that bracket will suffice or do I need to buy two brackets to get it to fit
