So 9.5 inch ring gear. The 8 speed will provide a lower 1st gear (Assumption). Hoping its a new transfer case too for the added torque. No word on the low range gear ratio, but I like what I'm seeing. Thoughts?

Well some have Fulltime 4WD so the strengthened TC is needed.

Since a center lock was never offered on the 3rd gen taco or the new Tundra it makes me think it is an entirely new case. And why not offer center lock on all models with 4wd?

That makes sense, Thanks. Anyone get any info on gears? In the tfl podcast with the engineer he says something about 3.90 but quickly and in passing. Are the 4.30's in the manual gone? will the hybrid vs. non-hybrid be different?
