how is your pace/stride? are you taking smaller choppy steps and is your breathing increased? I also paced my breathing and extended my stride I could get a good pace going. I averaged 11:00-12 Mile and half. fastest time was 10:30 mile and half. The other thing is to jog 3 miles every other day and push yourself at the end. also good shoes help, but breathing and stride is also detrimental IMO...

I feel ya. I was a runner for years and then I turned 45. Boom. No drive. Can't get myself to lace up the sneaks and go for a run. I'm considering a gym membership just to get back on a treadmill before it is too late. I used to live for days when it was 10 below zero just to say I ran 3 miles in that temp. Now I don't want to break a sweat even under ideal weather conditions. Ugh. I need help. Or something.

I also changed my running workouts... I was told to run a faster time per mile. than do a long run with a slower mile time. I do prefer longer run with longer time such as 12mins per mile instead of 10mins per mile.

Just going to take time to rebuild strength and endurance. Pace yourself and take your time.

Yeah my stride are way off, my breathing is still the same. Feel like shorter steps choppy

Some members here have a freak out anytime the word “help” is used in a sentence in a title. They only want the word used if someone is stuck on a trail.

I was just being shitposter so please carry on

This was on Monday. I have a Thanksgiving Day 10k coming up. I've done dozens of 5ks and a 15k so id like to cross off a 10k from the list.

Front squats, lunges and thrusters really helped my hills before. I remember the first time after some trading I hit a hill on a 10k (I hate running) and was dreading the hills. When I hit the hills it was lien overdrive. Everyone else slowed down and I picked up pace. Never thought I would enjoy hills as much as that moment. I still hate running. But won’t forget that during that race.
