Has anyone had trouble with the yellow running light/turn signal causing the plastic cover to turn yellow and crack?

2nd gen forum is where you want to be. New Members forum is for introductions.

All polycarbonate clear light covers will haze if not cared for regularly. Some of course will crack. It's not a light bulb thing, it's sunshine.

I believe he's referring to the housing melting/cracking around the DRL/Turn Signal bulb which was relatively common on early 2nd gens, I think they had an updated housing to address that issue but I'm not sure what year it was implemented. I know 2.5 gens (12-15) had a different design housing that doesn't have that issue.

    Welcome!

Yup, common 2nd gen issue. I always drove with the headlights on so the DRLs never had a chance to turn on and melt the lenses.

You can add amber LED bulbs and resisters to reduce use.
