    Hello!

I have a 2007 tacoma and I just installed some sweet DRL headlights! To have the DRL running I obviously need to have my parking lights on during the day.

When I turn on my parking lights the navigation/temp and clock go dim. Is there a mod or way to stop that? I saw a video a few months back that it’s just a wire and I could put a dead switch on but I can’t seem to find it. Ugh! I’ve looked around and only found videos and tutorials on the new model tacos

    Thanks!

There is an illumination wire that feeds both to make them dim when the lights are on. Most illumination wires are green. Depin the green wires and see what happens.

The same shit everyone else has.
The DRLs should be on when the parking lights off.

DRLs are designed to be on anytime the parking/head lights are off.

Wire them so they function this way and you won’t have to turn the parking lights on to use the DRLs

I'm not the guy in the video, but I did do this mod. It's very easy and does exactly what the OP wants to do.

I wouldn't bother with a switch. I put one in but never use it. The display is well out of your line of sight and is not overly bright even at full strength.
