I need to get an estimate for bodywork, or get glass fenders. My shitty clutch (my fault or LCEs, don't know) is really wearing on me, having to float gears, have to start in gear forward and reverse, can't back into/out of parking lots without multiple restarts. Basically, I have NO clutch use whatsoever, if you drive a manual, you'll understand more. I do have all new parts to replace it, just don't when I can find time.
Given that I have a malfunctioning clutch, it really let me down this morning turning around in the driveway to leave for work. I ended up backing into a tree, which at least did stop me from dropping off the ~10' vertical and loose creek bank to completely ruin my day, and crushed my CB mount bracket into the bedside, and destroyed a taillight.:frusty:

Snowball effect engaged. Higher likelihood of me calling off the meet, or not showing up and you guys can have your fun. I've got some serious work to do on the truck and have had very little time to get it done with moving so recently. THIS KILLS MY SPIRIT! :depressed:

All this is after the woman's alternator took a shit on her Taurus and got replaced this Monday evening but not without issue of course :frusty:, along with Ford's stupid as fuck idea to use electronic assisted power steering (which has also been out for nearly a year now, kudos to her for steering that POS on winding roads), I accidentally punched a hole in her radiator getting the alternator out FUCKING NEAT KARMA you dirty whore! So we find a junkyard after all parts stores options for a new rad between the Huntington/Ashland area south to Pikeville, KY have been exhausted, they claimed to have a used one and costs $75. Turned out no, it was from a police Taurus with extra features and a 3rd port for turbo cooling, won't work and blocking the port just didn't sound like the greatest idea long-term. Yesterday she returned to the yard with the original and the cop car one, they looked all day and didn't find one.
Adams Used Auto Parts & Salvage in Prestonsburg, KY are some standup folks, though! They are getting us a new rad shipped in today for $125 and we only had to cover the part cost difference. Her car should be back up and running tonight.

TLDR version; life sucks and I'm getting handed a lot of lemons at once and I've allowed shit to pile up in all aspects of my life because I'm a procrastinator AF. Probably won't show up to Rush at all :sorry: or we can revisit this in the spring.
I'm sure I've fucked a lot of you out of vacation and PTO time, for that, my empath side is sorry. For myself, I'm trying to not implode, become an alcoholic, keep my job that I know drive 3 hours to/from daily, and I've gotta get shit done. The remaining 5 weekends is not enough time to do it without any help from slightly knowledgeable folk, auto mechanic junk or my home improvement lists.
Go to Rush if you guys want without me, I don't mind one bit.

I’m sorry to hear all that crap man. Sometimes life really sucks. I know I won’t be at rush this year either. I did find time to get my winch installed though. Deeds if you were just an hour closer and I didn’t have a long list of shit to do myself I’d be there to help in a minute. Sorry brother

That blows man, clutch sounds like it's a bad master or slave cylinder.
iirc you had a bitch of a time bleeding that so it's probably the master.

Sorry to hear that. Since you aren't going to Rush this year. We will go Rush next year. Probably my truck will have more mods installed by then. I mean winch, bumpers, etc.

I rather to go with you all from this tread first since you have experience with off roading and recovery.. I am not going to Rush if I know no one at Rush.. and they may have no recovery mods to get me out if I get stuck. That's why I would like to go with you all first and I will plan to make more friends, that way, if any of you aren't going, I can ask others who aren't on TW forum to go with me to Rush to have fun. You know?

Look forward to Rush off road next year with you all.

@dirty deeds About home improvement, what do you need? Is there anything I can help you with? I have been remodeling/construction for years now.

I'm not looking for help, just venting my frustrations mostly. Thanks though, Steven. Gives me a chance to take a deer myself as well, bright side.
It feels like there's no disengagement of it. I've had folks help with bleeding and checking to see the fork move. It all works like it should. Leaning toward bad pressure plate.
No help needed with construction stuff, she has an uncle that's done it for years too.

ya let me know if my opinion is not wanted, but the pressure plate failing and preventing disengagement commonly occurs very close to the install, or after the truck has been left to sit for a long time.

Seals going bad in the cylinders creep up in the days/weeks/months after bleeding and continue to get worse, the fork will still move, but not as much as before. If you can get another bleed on it, (with back-bottoming the slave cylinder<-critical step) and that fixes it immediately after bleeding, if only for a few disengagements... then you'll know

You mistook what I said man. I was being short because I was irritated.
I didn't mean I don't want anyone's help or advice, I just don't want people dropping their projects to help is all. Life is life.

I need to try another bleed on it and see if it gets me anywhere, but I'm not too optimistic about that. Feels a little slippery nowadays too.

I never felt it was gradually getting any worse, fwiw. Just like it suddenly said fuck it, I quit... I had one occasion it did this in July 2020, never did it again until a few months ago this year. I'm even thinking I may need a new input shaft/sleeve if the TOB is chewed.

Big facts. Sooo much shit to do here too. I need 40k pounds of gravels. I need to run a new propane line from tank to house. I have 2+ cords of fire wood to split and still need more wood. And so much more.
Definitely not comparing our situations. Life is definitely giving you a rough way to go right now. Wish there were some more I could do. Thankfully it can really only go up from here, right? Hopefully!

I'll just be glad to get out in the woods and maybe take a deer. That's my bright side right now.
Also, the woman's car, not to jinx the situation, has made a full recovery and driving better than ever. After I got the new alternator and radiator in, buttoned everything back up, the power steering started working again! That's a WIN!

Now I just gotta get the Tracker in my name and insured, fix whatever it needs to be road-worthy and I can start on the truck. Maybe.

I should probably get myself some gravel delivered too...
