I just did a brake job on my wife's car. The rear caliper pistons were seized so bad that I broke a C clamp trying to push one back in. Does that mean it was stuck on or stuck open? It was stuck. No amount of brake fluid pressure was going to move it.

Some people do not understand the problems the humidity and road salt cause up here.

Were you on ih8mud years ago? I guess now too, but I was on years ago and there was a dude with similar name that did the coolest projects, like convert tundra to all wheel drive because with the blower he couldn't get the rear tires to hook up! Haha

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
If theyre seized i find using a roll pin air hammer punch works great for getting them out.. i usually just replace them when i do pads. The OEM ones have a coating that seems to hold up for a few winters before rusting

It is only 2019 right? 4 years and these pins may as well have been welded in.
Others said design flaw? Maybe cheap parts? Maybe bad assembly at the factory? I am a big believer in grease, the right grease for the right parts, these pins should be doused with high temperature brake grease before installing.
On mine, the top ones came out okay, a little tapping back and forth but no big deal. The bottoms were the problem.
After making sure the pads were not stuck to the pins and several attempts with PB blaster, Kroil, two other alleged miracle lubricants and the stuff that gets the parts to -46 degrees, all useless.
My solution was to take a swazall and cut about a 1 inch piece out of the center of the pin. You can cut where the split in the vented disc are. They came out easily. Tap the inner one out into the gap I created with the cutting. While leaving the pads in place, I used a pin I removed from the top to tap the end of the pin with head out.

Nope. I had to look that one up. They came in white tubes with blue writing for grease guns. The heavier stuff came in 5 Gal pails that required torching to make it soft enough to scoop out a handful. I would definitely say industrial strength. It might be the same composition though... Now I definitely need to take a look....
