Has anyone used rust converter prior to applying touch-up paint? I'm not referring to naval jelly, but rather the liquid rust converter that you can paint over. I don't like the concept of "digging out" the area, or sanding the area either.

I've used the Langka system on paint chips with excellent results. I have a small chip in my door with a rust ring around it, and was going to use rust converter, followed by touch-up paint and the Langka system. After reading about the delicate nature of Toyota's paint however, I'm a little gun-shy.
