Rust Issues

I bought a Certified 2020 OR and starting to notice some really small rust spots on the hood.
Is this common on the cement grey?
How do I stop this?

Are you sure it’s rust? Not something that can be buffed out?

 

These are only some, they seem to be spread out over the hood, and there seems to be some overspray of some kind on the hood.

Im sure I can polish the overspray, but I dont think I can stop the rust from continuing its course.

Really frustrating.

 

It could be railroad fallout from the transportation process. My 2022 Super White was covered in the stuff. Had to buff it out. Luckily it hadn't yet really begun to rust. Not sure if the rust staining can be removed from your paint or not.

 

I polished it with 3M Perfect it Compund, and it turned into a black dot.
