Rust on Bed Spotwelds

OP - how are the welds holding up?

I'm dropping mine off tomorrow for the spot weld repairs. Body shop asst mgr has never seen the issue before. Took pics, she dropped the ball, called service mgr, he sent to regional rep and the repairs got approved.

So far, they seem to be ok. They cleaned them up with a compound and buffed them. There are still 2 tiny spots with rust, so I'll keep my eye on them. If they continue to grow, the truck is going right back to the dealership.
