Hey guys I just picked up a BAMF bed rack for my 2014 short bed tacoma that was used . The owner said it's a year old and It has some rust spots. What do you think would be the best way to take care of it? Should I spray paint just the spots ? Do I need to sand and repaint whole? Or have it re powder coated ?

If it is flat black already and you're not too picky about looks, Rustoleum has a Rust Reformer spray "paint" that I occasionally use and have had good luck with.

I would clean off all the loose rust first. Honestly, that just looks like something that could be taken off with a nylon brush and a bit of oil. Then clean and paint.

BL, it looks like any other lightly rusted piece of metal. With your user name indicating familiarity with coastal regions, I'm sure you've seen plenty of surface rust.
