So I just got my first brand new truck ever 2 days ago and I was wondering if this type of rust on this area where the welds are is normal for it being brand new? Any inputs/suggestion what I should do Or maybe I’m just over reacting lmao

    Huh?

The tiny brown spec on the weld? Its slag that paint wont adhere to.

Absolutely normal. Any steel that is close to a weld tends to not hold paint as well and also rust faster then the surrounding steel. Touch it up with a bit of paint, spray some fluid film or some other preservative on it and call it good.

All I see here is some cast off slightly dirty water spots and a minuscule line of surface rust on a weld. Which as others have said, is normal.

Do yourself a favor, go back to the dealer and get under all the other 21’s, and you’ll see similar bits of surface rust on some welds here and there. Enjoy your truck and your sleep at night.

My 2020 looked the same. Some welds appeared to look they had surface rust. At any rate i coated the entire undercarriage with cosmolline as a precaution for future rust being in the salt belt.

typical and nothing to worry about. use the product zoo truck suggested or something else like Fluid Film or wool wax. A rust prevention treatment is a great idea if you live or drive in states that use road salts in the winter. Use the search to find treads about that if you are interested.
