after washing my car today I noticed some rust on the fender. Is this something I need to worry about? Or is there something I can do to prevent it from spreading.

Check out ERA paint. They offer some kits to fix chips. I would get their primer, base and clear kit and do some super super easy sand papering. Like fold it in a way that will only hit the rusted spot, then give it the ERA treatment. Here are some pics of their match quality

How long has that fob been painted? Does it get exposed to other keys like in a pants pocket?

About 3 days. Its exposed to about 7 keys and 1 gym fob. All of which hang from a d ring at my belt. No issues so far but I suspect normal wear and tear will take its toll just like anything else. Its important to apply clear coat pretty quickly after base coat has flashed so it can bond properly and provide the best protection
