Wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice. I noticed two areas on the painted parts of my truck with rust. One is on a seam in the gas cap compartment, the other on a seam near the rear upper corner of the bed. The one by the gas cap was touched up a few months ago. The truck was getting a dent popped out and the guy touched the spot up with some paint. He also said that he popped the side cap off the bed and sprayed the interior with rust prevention, just in case it was coming from the inside. Needless to say, it came back and grew a little bit. The second spot I touched up myself and the rust bled through in a few days. Going on vacation tomorrow, so I sprayed some fluid film to protect it until I return next week. Is there any easy way to fix this, or do I need to bring it into a body shop? It looks like the paint on the seam edge cracked and flaked off and began to rust, not entirely sure though. Appreciate any advice you can give...thanks!!!

Since your truck is white, just put some whiteout on the spots and you should be good to go. Spots are small enough that it should do it for ya.

Sand it lightly and seal with rust killer, prime it, then paint it.

...or use something with a sharp edge such as a small screwdriver or something which allows you to clean just enough of the paint off to allow the rust inhibitor to reach the affected areas. Let dry for a day or so, retreat, and them touch up that area with touch=up primer and paint.

Monitor from time to time in the event it returns in the future, and if it does, re-think a next step. Either way, i think that would be a solid way to at least back burner it for a period of time.
