Got pictures? At the very least it’ll take welding, but it may not be repairable either.

If you need to replace the entire bottom of your frame, you need to replace your entire frame.

Anything can be fixed though it most likely would not be cost effective:spending::welder:

Try to get more pictures that clearly show the frame rails themselves (a bit closer up).

Based upon the gask tank skid and rear shock body rust though, I assume the frame rails are going to have some serious integrity issues due to corrosion.

    @Tsean

You missed taking pictures of your actual frame.

Based on your pictures, the frame doesn’t look too terribly bad, and may have been replaced in years past. Unfortunately, they forgot to replace the gas tank skid plate.

It’s obviously been treated with some type of anti-corrosive/black substance so you’re going to have to take a hammer test to see if it’s solid everywhere. That could have been done to cover up a bunch of stuff or as a secondary rust preventative this time around after replacing the frame.

Also, it’s overdue to change your fuel filter.
Start spraying with PB blaster for a week. Then get some fuel line wrenches

That frame is in great shape!!!

Do you want a real skid plate for under the fuel tank?

Something along the lines of factory ?

The wrenches your asking about are called line wrenches or flare
nut wrenches just search for metric line wrenches .

Any auto parts store should carry them avoid real low end ones no need to cause more problems.

That looks pristine for a Maryland truck. However, these frames do have a way of rotting from the inside while still looking solid from the outside, so I’d try to feel inside the holes near the leaf springs under the rear wheel wells to check for any flaking.

Frame doesn't look bad. Comparing the frame to the gas tank skid and rear diff I'm guessing the frame was replaced at some point. Plenty of life left in the truck. My order of priorities would be:

    - Gas tank skid
    - Reboot (or replace) front CV axles (looks like your boot is ripped)
    - Flap disc / wire wheel the rear diff and the bottom of the frame and recoat with POR15
    - New shocks
    - Coat the frame in fluid film or woolwax this fall

Only if you have money to spare ! It might be interesting to get a estimate .

They have a good business and charge according .

To me I think they are quite expensive but if you have no skills in fabrication and welding you pay others well to do those jobs for you.
