Oil filter drain hole? Are you talking about the engine oil pan or the cupped fitting around the oil filter on top of the engine?

On the images you posted, the first one that's completely normal. Exposed edges, exposed unpainted metal (exhaust) and cast iron all rust no matter what. If it bothers you...wirebrush and rustoleum. In your second picture, that's a heavy steel part, the rust is cosmetic. Wirebrush and hit it with rustoleum if it bothers you.

Few of those things will ever be a problem even decades into the future. My stainless exhaust on my previous car developed some corrosion over the years, but 13 years later it's still on the full stock exhaust system.

This one really puzzles me. Rust in the "small drain hole" by the filter? I have no idea what you're talking about, the only drain hole by the filter I know of is the one for the filter mount, and that's aluminum.

Not my truck in the photo. It's from a news article on the frame rust issue on 1st gen. Tacomas and Tundras. I don't know the story behind the truck. Maybe it was running without rear mudflaps and never washed for 5 years.

So your saying that Toyota is going to change the location of the oil filter because you have rust in the catch basin drain hole?...that doesn't make sense. Just clean it out, dab some rustoleum paint in there, and permanently attach a 5/16" inside diameter hose with a hose clamp.
