I applied Fluid Film with the Woolwax applicator nozzle the first day or two after I brought it home. I just do spot treatments now anytime I have it on the lift for oil change, tire rotation, etc. I'd rather work on an oily underbelly than a rusty one any day of the week.

My has been fluid filmed since day one once a year right before winter. Undercarriage still looks new and I live in the rust belt where they put salt brine on the roads.

Just did rp-342(cosmoline) this morning, had 3 spray on cans and ran out.....ordered some more, stuff goes on good, the guy in the video clip above changed his mind from cosmoline to whatever he selling now, I figure he got some money out of the deal.

Very strongly recommend Corrosion Free. Have it applied by the shop. They do what most of us could never do. The product actually warrants a lot of parts and it protects wiring from mice, kills rust, stops rattles and squeaks, forces water out of joins by moving in and taking it's place.

    25 year user here. !!! :canada: :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

It saved the frame in my 206 Taco.. Best trade-in they ever saw..!!

I can't fathom anything better longer lasting than cosmoline. When even the military uses it along with bmw and mercedes its gotta be very good. I've used fluid film in the past, its ok for stuff like mower decks every year, but gets old applying it to a sizable vehicle every year, or face rust forming.

I will definitely go the Cosmoline route. Seems to be the best option for sure.

What's wrong with the rubberized stuff? Like the Line-X product? The shop says they spray it in every nook and cranny.

What does rubber do as it ages? It dries and cracks.

What happens when moisture gets strapped between what's left of the rubberized coating and your frame? Your frame rots out faster than if you'd left it alone.

Unless you are running east coast beaches or wintering in salt country Im not sure you need anything.

My '13 frame looks pretty fresh and even still has factory stickers on it.

Yeah, if your in those hot and dry sunshine states i wouldn't even bother rust proofing a vehicle unless planing on keeping it all you life.
Being here in new england its like your on another planet when winter comes. The states salt, and use deicing chemicals similar to salt on the roads like no tomorrow. In less than 10 years without adequate rust prevention a new truck will end up in the bone yard.

PNW sea air totally rusts everything it touches. No salted roads required it's like driving through salty mist every day. Not as bad as salt roads but I highly suggest doing some preventatives.

    We are hot.

    We are sunshine.

    We are not dry.

But it's salt/brine/etc that causes the problems. Not just rain and humidity

It's why the frame replacement program included only certain states.

I've been by at two dealers here at different times that had new taco, and tundra frames stacked up like cord wood up to the height of their buildings roof.

When you guys are spraying cosmoline underneath, are you just spraying it over everything?

Or are you specifically and carefully spraying it on the frame and being careful about it?
