Best solution at this point is oil the frame. Don't bother with paint. Its rusting between the layers. You wont be able to get enough paint in between all the joints. Oil creeps better in all the layers and protects better.

How did it not qualify for the crc? If the frame didn't need to be replaced, they are supposed to spray if I remember the notice correctly. Whether or not it's effective is another question.

CRC is bad news. It is only effective on a freshly painted frame. Has no place on a poorly prepped rusted frame. It will trap moisture and create more rust.

I'd be calling corporate after checking with another dealership. It's only going to get worse.

@Boston10Taco I'm taking it into another dealership this Friday, the dealer I took it in to last week said "yeah it's fine, and to take it to a metal shop to weld sheet metal to remedy it"....Really!!??

Plus they tried to up-sell me to get an alignment, transmission flush, along with xfer and diff oil changes. I'm taking the Taco elsewhere.

Lmao you need to see under the tacos where I’m from, mine included. North Eastern Canada, where salt and ice rule the roads 6-7 month out of the year.

2nd dealership passed the frame as well. There’s no 10 mm hole which is what they base their replacements on. I’ll be spending the next few weekends prepping and painting POR 15 on my frame. Here’s the progress so far, passenger side is done.
