Rust spot in chrome bumper

So my license plate frame wore through my chrome bumper, leaving behind this:

Is there anything I can do to save the bumper? I'd rather not have to paint the whole thing if possible...

Large Storage Box, 02610 intermittent switch swap, "Hot Wire" Power Outlets, DRL Shut Off, Disable Fob Beep, Disable Seat Belt Buzzers, Parking Light Mod, Battery Tender, 4 Leaf Spring Pack, Rear Headrest Removal, Factory Tow Package (7 Pin) Rear Diff Mod, Taco Lean Mod, 2WD Low ECU.

You can remove the rust with a dremel tool and take the flaky chrome off. Use a dab of por or rust preventive paint. Top coat it with silver paint or use a piece of chrome tape. The frame will hide most of it I believe.

So I grabbed a drill bit metal brush head and took that rust right out!

What amazed me most is that it seemed the regular chrome did not get scratched by the brush... score! Rustoleum makes a chrome paint, and after a few light coats, you would never even notice it.

Turned out to not be a big deal at all
