    Hi,
My truck is in the shop getting the box fenders and roof resprayed to hopefully have the body last as long as the new frame. It's going to be all disassembled (not drilled) and buttered up with Krown, and the body guy said he'd replace the door handle assemblies while the door panels are opened up for Krowning.

I don't have the truck here, but I'm trying to figure out from online fiches what parts should be replaced in the assembly. It *looks* like a lot of plastic, but hard to tell.

Direct link to parts page and fiche: http://www.toyotapartsdirect.ca/a/T...nt-door-lock--handle/673650C-6753-674470.html

Does anyone have any direct experience to share? I'm just trying to eliminate guess-work at the moment and get the parts here ASAP...

    Cheers.

There is a tsb for a condition your describing.
You replace the mounting bolts for the handles. You would see two streaks on each end of the handle.
Not sure how far back the year goes for this. I would have to get to the shop and read it.
Without pics I'm only making a suggestion this could be your issue.
Once the panel is pulled you can inspect the area. Any part seen with rust would need to be replaced.
I believe there are new bolt part numbers.

Thanks Mike, I'll dig for the TSB, if for nothing else other than the description of what's required.

    Cheers
