I have some very light rust stains on the paint under rear tailgate handle. Can anyone suggest a way to remove that stain without destroying the paint Thanks for any help.

jay, i wash my mid west taco like so frequently that no spots really every have a chance to form up
but there are a couple of spots that did pop up in the tailgate inner crimp area and driver door sill soft spot
if that is your personal vid, can i save that to watch later?

i may have to use that on my alloy wheels

This is a before, spray that 5$ chrome wheel cleaner on:
    1C36427A-BC57-4A80-96B7-40056238755D.jpg

Then after- spraying the area and lightly buffing with rag, then rinsing/ drying/ spray wax:

Was careful not to rub too hard as those bubbles would rupture, but it did remove the rust without damaging the paint, no swirls or scratches.

You're going to need to do a little more than just wipe off the surface rust. That needs to be stripped and repainted to get rid of the rust that's forming under the paint. It's only going to get worse if you leave it.

-absolutely. I’d like to find a new rust free bed, Toyota stopped making them, and hard to find- but for now, this is just for aesthetics.

Paint doesn't rust, cleaning the rust off the paint doesn't do much besides make it not look as bad. If you can clean the actual metal paste wax can help slow it coming back but you're just applying bandaids.

Well sure, from farther away it looks better :D

I'd sand off those bubbles and get rid of all that rust underneath with maybe 1000 or 2000 grit wet/dry, then re-spray with some duplicolor and a couple coast of clear.
