Rust starting on the roof! 05 back prerunner

This really sucks! i wash my truck every couple of weeks and keep in great shape. Today washing the roof i noticed the paint was coming off and in was a little bumpy, not rust yet but i foresee it in the near furture.

Anyone else having this issue with there taco? Easy fix? I was looking to see if there was a recall on this one. My dads truck years ago had this issue, something with the primer and Ford repainted.

Could it possibly be rust coming up from under the paint? I think there is a name for it but I can't remember what it is this late at night.

 

Yep I caught mine to late and the paint was already starting to peel off In large sections.... So I did what krewblink said and plastidipped my roof.

 

ive got a 2005 as well.

 

What do you mean Plastidip? so i looked it up.. looks like that will work out great!.

I will prob do the whole roof since its not custom paint and its just black. should i just use spray cans? if so many will get the job done.
