    2000 Tacoma 4WD Base - no low gas warning light but it has AC!
    Crazy. Yeah, I lived about three blocks from the Pacific in Hunt Beach CA for about 30 years and the corrosion was only slightly a problem compared to that. Sheesh. And even then it was mostly just enough to make aluminum look a bit nasty.

    I live 3 hours west of you
    It was a fantastic truck too. Hell the a/c still works (and everything else), and the only real thing I had to replace in 8 years was the heater valve.

    The replacement came from southwest Kentucky (south of the saltyness) and will get a lot more attention paid to the frame, even though it isn't supposed to be as big of a problem with that year. I cannot live without a regular cab 4x4 tacoma:thumbsup:.

    Getting this truck has reminded me why i dislike our modern truck options. Ideally id like to be able to keep this one alive for a decent while longer.

    This "was" a wiring harness bracket that quite literally turned into dust when i picked it up. Thankfully only the lower grade metal brackets and bolts are that bad and the major stuff still had good core metal to restore.
