I wish you were closer I have been hunting a rusted out axle housing for years.

I think it is pretty rare or they never belong to people on forums .

If you can fabricate it is a simple fix the hardest part is pulling things apart

Just picked my 03 up from a frame swap today. I bought a used housing from Arizona for 350 shipped to KY. Toyota installed it for 500. I bought the rebuild kits from marlin crawler and new abs rings. There is an 03 bare housing on eBay now that accepts the e locker. They want 350 plus shipping. It is also in arizona.

Mine has no ABS, so that not the problem. The guy at the salvage yard said that it was different in wide . E cables I'll have to find out.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
My axle housing rotted out in 2 spots.. the pumpkin and the right tube where its welded to the center housing. I just ended up replacing the entire axle housing with a new one from Toyota. but if yours is just the pumpkin i believe theres a repair plate you can get and weld on.

I have an 03 and got my housing off an 01. The brackets were different for the e brake, but not that big of a deal. They changed brackets from old housing. My housing came off a non abs truck, and mine is abs. The non abs housing accepts abs, it just has tabs over the holes.

03 was supposed to have the bracket on the pumpkin. This is the way mine was done. I think the housing was off a 01 or 02. 84BDE482-1F9A-457D-85B3-387A648FAA50.jpg

Looks like the cable on the left side is very close to the shock. But it looks good.

It is close. Just under a half inch of clearance. Better than what I had, and when I found one that accepted the e locker I went for it.
