rusting bed bolts

    the bolts holding the composite bed to the frame are rusting on top. how concerning is this situation? is this a florida thing? i have searched for this but the only rust is the top of the bolt.

    I hit the top of the bolts with a lil fluid film twice a year, haven't seen any new rust since I started.

    Take them off, wire brush them and pain them.....If you use your bed ALOT, the rust will come back eventually. Not a problem if they have rust though.

    Yeah, My 2011 Bed Bolts have rusted over as well as the tail gate bolts on the side. They are the two on each side of the bed that hold the latches on. I the Bed Bolts with Stainless Bolts. Bed Bolts and washers will have to come off and be blasted and painted. I also have some D-Rings that need to be installed.
