I installed some JBA UCAs about a month ago and not even a week went by and i noticed some rust forming on the what i thought was a stainless steel ball joint. I contacted Marlin at jba but yet to hear back from him on my last email. I know he has been on vacation but i don't want the rust to get worse then it already is. Has anyone had this problem with rust forming this early and does anyone have a solution to this problem??

    Thank you, Jacob

This get resolved to your satisfaction?
I'm considering pulling the trigger on a stock replacement pair, but in light of all this... I'm definitely on the fence.

They have a new cerakote ball joint that they are now putting on their UCAs and cerakote is often used on guns to make them not rust and can stand up to weather.

I definitely recommend Jba... customer service is great. Marlin will get you what ever you need. They had me order new ball joints with the cerakote, then when I get the ball joints I will send my rusty ball joints back to Jba. Then they will refund me. I love my Jba UCAs!! Marlin made everything right.

Cerakote will not hold up well in that environment.

same. I think JBA are the UCAs for me, but I live in the great white north and these are going to have to hold up to salty roads at least for a few seasons..

Marlin sent me the new ball joints and I replaced the rusty ones about a month and a half ago and the cerakote is holding up great. They still look brand new after a month and a half. I’ve been driving on the beach in the outer banks since then and in the salt air with no signs of rust. Nothing but good things to say about Jba UCAs. F11ABE6F-E0F0-4EA8-8D97-2F7A53770D24.jpg

Just call him and he will send you new ones and after you return the rust covered ones here will refund your money back.

Stainless steel rusts too, I wouldn't be concerned with it getting much worse. The rust is from impurities in the metals used to make the stainless.
