So, how does the water drains from the door holes if you spray or cover them with the FF?? There is still going to be water deposit inside the doors even after spraying the FF etc.

FF won’t plug drain holes if that’s what you mean.

I was just quoted $400 USD to do my truck. I asked if it was cheaper for 18 month replications, he said, " Nope, $400 every time." Lame.

Shop around. The Fluid Film website has a locator tool (as well as some of the other brands) plus google maps can be your friend. I started at getting 500+ quotes and was out the door for around 200 by the time I found the right shop.

    https://corrosionfree.com/find-a-dealer/
    https://www.fluid-film.com/undercoating-locator/
    https://www.krown.com/en/locations/
    etc etc etc

Getting my 2019 fluid filmed on Friday. Also getting 3M wax sprayed in all of the panels with openings. Combine that with the collinite/power lock on the paint, I’m hoping I’m doing what I can on rustproofing!

well you could do more... get a full paint protection film wrap on the entire truck. You've got about $6000 burning a hole in your pocket like the rest of us right?

That or spend $2k on a winter beater RAV4- which now that I’m saying it sounds kind of fun.

Thanks, I will. I'm surprised there are no fluid film or corrosion free dealers near me. I'm in the epicenter of over use of salt and brine.

Used motor oil used to be a thing.
My Dad would spray the undersides of his vehicles with it every Autumn.
Can't get any cheaper than that.

I always wondered how well it actually worked.
And I wonder if there are many guys who still do that?

There, that's bound to rile somebody up. :p

You can get a gallon of fluid film for 40-50 bucks and a harbor freight paint sprayer for 20 bucks and do it yourself in about an hour if you really take your time and find every nook and cranny. A plus if you have a air compressor but you don't even need that.

Yes I was a little surprised too. You might check NH Oil... I think they are popular in your area.

Yes that can be done but to me the value of keeping all of my stuff clean of fluid film residue and the lack of access to a lift makes the hassle of doing it myself too much... For another 100 bucks someone else can deal with that for me (and they used a couple of gallons on my truck...)

but FF does attract and accumulate dirt, dust, etc.
won't that build up in there over time?
    leading to a potential plug

Not necessarily "plug" but clogged the holes for the water to drain freely. My opinion is that anything that you put inside the door drain holes will clogged them and water, dirt etc may stay inside.

Yes most definitely follow the directions i.e. let dry before Eastwood internal frame coating application let that dry. The Eastwood can comes with an attachment to the spray nozzle which lets you get 360 coverage inside the frame. I would follow up with Amsoil heavy duty metal protector. I have nothing invested in Amsoil I really like all their products. Ensure you get the heavy duty metal protector not the other line that they sell.Their heavy duty line is a cosmoline wax which is hard to remove once it's on.I find I'm doing less touch up as the years go by. The Amsoil is overkill on the internal frame protection but that's me. My .02
It's all in the prep. GL
