Yeah I agree; there's something appealing about the ease of use that would come with a flatbed, for sure.

Have a couple landgulls begging for my lunch.

Yeah, I know their Seagulls. I would mess with my girls when they were very young and call ‘em Landgulls, because we’re not near the sea. 20 yrs. later and they still remember it.

Wifey got a phone call from kiddo in basic training last night. Little shit is doing good. Said she does not like Oklahoma. to damn windy and who the hell would wanna live there. Haha. But over all she is good.

Apparently troops in basic, can make phone calls now on Sundays pending they don’t screw up. Hell, I remember stealing a 30 second phone call while on fire watch in basic. Times have changed I guess.

Truck wise.. fuel pump recall was done last week. Fools some how got grease all over the back of my softopper. It cleaned up ok.

Still debating if I wanna lift or not, as the off road fun has been fading over the years.

Wow, times have definitely changed! I got to make a single phone call when I arrived at Parris Island to let my parents know I wasn't dead; outside of written correspondence, that was the only contact I had with them until Graduation day.

Yeah, when it was lights out on deck for us, it was just that - although, the Scribe nor the DI's themselves seemed to give a shit if we were up after lights out, as long as we were in our racks and quiet as a church mouse. Most of us used that time to write letters or bullshit, albeit; silently.

A pic of her in the gas chamber. She hates the camera and tried to look away.

Man, you're just drumming up all kinds of nostalgia for me....:woot:

I have to wonder if they still use the giant 'snot buckets' for "washing off" the gas masks post-chamber. Wild times indeed; good on her for doing what she's doing!

    :D Same here.

the snot buckets?. Dunno. She said in her letter that it wasn’t bad. Her description of it was, it’s like getting a lot of water up the nose and in the eyes for the burn. I figure they are dropping minimal CS pellets to keep the snot and throwing up to a minimum with this c19 crap. But like you said.. it does take me back in time.

Seen a white 3rd gen (I think) with what looked like a Prinsu rack over the cab and some kinda bed rack on Lakeside Ave. last night. Caught it out of the corner of my eye last night.

Hi, if you are on here.

Yeah, they had what were essentially rubbermaid trash cans; one filled about 3/4 full with water, the others with a water/detergent mixture(or something, anyway). As you came out, you would dunk your masks into each can as you passed and kept it moving. Although, you're right now that I think about it....not much that 'appears' sanitary about it - and I imagine that wouldn't fly now in this covid world.
