I've seen a lot of people mentioning the rx350 projector swap because they are one of the best hid projectors. My dad has an 06 rx350 and I never noticed this until night time when I drove it. On start up both projectors swivel and move into position which is pretty cool.

Why do they do that or are they always re-aiming their selves? Will the same thing happen on a projector swap or is it unique to the 06 rx350 headlights? Just curious not planning on a swap.

They're constantly adjusting to maintain the beam angle as you go over bumps, dips and uneven surfaces to minimize blinding other drivers and provide a consistent forward lighting area. If you watch them closely as you go over a dip or bump, you can see them adjust to maintain the same angle, pretty cool to see.

The leveling motor is on the headlight housing itself so unless you retrofit the motor, leveling sensor and module, you will not have that function. Most, if not all Lexus models with HID headlights feature this and is not unique to the RX350, my 2001 IS300 had it but was equipped with HID reflector headlights.

You are referring to AFS headlights. The projectors most use are the non-AFS versions that lack the swivel motors and are a direct swap. AFS versions can be use but require extra cutting and the AFS function is rendered useless. My Infiniti QX70S features something similar.
