I picked up a pair of Baja S2 pros for some ditch lights and have questions on how I should hook up the ch 4x4 switch to the harness. I ran the harness and cut off the switch that Baja designs provided. One end of the harness is the obvious + and - they hook to the battery and ground. The other end with the switch has two red wires and two black wires with red stripes. The ch4x4 switch has a green with yellow stripe, two red with yellow stripe, and the black wire for it. How do I connect these wires to get the switch to function correctly?

I keep seeing the relay connection. Do I need to buy a relay? The harness only has a fuse.

I would always recommend a relay to isolate the switch from power surges from the lights or shorts.

many special size or anything? I’m handy and used to install car stereos for work as a teen but I am not familiar with this at all.

No need for anything special. Just a regular 12 volt relay that can handle the amperage. Amazon has cheap relays. Some even have bases for mounting the relay. Depending on the relay location a water tight one might be a consideration.
