I'm a do it yourself type of person, so when I need the services of a shop I generally don't know where to go. I'm looking for recommendations on a local shop that can compress the spring on my coilovers so I can adjust the height. And, yes, I've already tried to do it myself and I couldn't even get the springs to slightly compress.IMG_0912.jpg

You're welcome to come by and use this. I used it on regular basis. Just a six pack of beers.

You shouldn’t need a spring compressor to adjust the toytec coilovers. I did mine today with them on the truck and wheel at full droop. Loosen set screw and use spanner wrench that came with coil over to adjust. Less than 5 minutes on each side.

I was gonna say, if you are in the east bay… I trade it for some root beer.

nitrogen though… that I ask for a couple bucks since I have to refill the bottle every once in a while

You can't adjust mine that way. I have a single nut and it's a split nut that locks with a screw.

I had done a good amount of searching and found nothing all that useful other than the method of decompressing the spring while still mounted on the truck. Great option for some and for some situations but definitely not all situations.

Then, randomly, I stumbled on this post recently: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/garage-shop-tools.589784/page-238#post-26309188

According to these guys, this little spring compressor works just fine. I haven't tested it myself so I can't vouch for it. But, I did just order one off Amazon and eventually I'll get around to testing it by swapping my TRD Pro/Baja coils.
