I've done it a few times when my buddy comes up from the bay with his extra kayak, had really good luck actually now I want to buy a couple kayaks... One for the lady one for me... I was thinking an open top for her/whoever has the dog, and a closed top for me. Anyone else get their dog on a kayak? Mine float tubes with me so I'm sure she'll love the kayak lol

Thanks, Jim. this is exactly the kind of input I could use right now.

Funny, never thought too much about the dealer-required serice under warranty, and I just assumed I can have it serviced at any dealer regardless of purchase location because it is still TMC. Unfortunately, Pville would be totally inconvenient to me, and what little Maita service I have used so far on the 1st gen seemed fine, no hassles, suprises, fuckups, but it has all been minor.

I've been loooking into the online purchase option, too. Go test drive, then go home and deal only with the online guys. Apparently it is much easier and less hassle, because you already know what you want, and they know you are checking everyone else's inventories too, and you don't get the face-to-face jibber jabber.

I bought my Honda using online hagling. Worked well had three dealers trying to out bid each other. If you go to maita tell them Holly Queener referred you, she works in the service dept. You will get a lot less bs being a friend of an employee.

Anybody here have suggestions on a shop to get a complete OME lift installed near Chico? I would do it myself but I don't have a lift. Thanks!

We also have a friend down the hill that does this type of stuff and does it well. You tell her what you want and she finds it and gets you a price. Never used her for this personally, but I can PM you her info if interested. Vehicle gets delivered to your door. Had another friend that used someone like her in the past to get the exact vehicle they wanted.

Also, it wasn't quite clear to me in what you said. Just to clarify that where you purchase it has nothing to do with warranty work. You could go to a different dealership for each warranty issue too.

Edit: This is her business: http://caccars.com

Interesting. I was thinking of looking into a broker because I am just too busy with other stuff right now. That was before I was including 15s, and thought I would be trying to find just the right used 12-14, which would be a real pain. Now I have two perfect 2015s within 10 miles. Plus I don't really have to worry about the financing dance.

Yeah, I was just rambling that I'd never thought much about the dealer service thing before because I'd always had used cars that were never under warranty, so either I took them wherever I wanted or did the work myself.

    Thanks again for the input.

Hell if I know. I'm downtown.
As long as the beer is cold I'm not really picky.
