Looking at Google earth, there appears to be a treeless area to the northeast of the CC campground, that could be it.
Forest maps don't show a road going directly to it, but there is a dead-end dirt road (9NY21) off of N/S road that goes near it. Also, another dead-end road (10N46L) comes in from the other direction.

Nuts, I was just rotating my tires, and found a nail head in the tread of one tire. Still holding air at 30 psi, so figured it was just a short tack or something. Pulled it out, and it was 3 inches long!! Thats when the air started leaking out fast.

So ... I'm off to Americas Tire to get it repaired.

    Still going to Baltic tomorrow.

Those sound like some pretty good spots, Sly Park is about an hour 40 from vacaville, so not too terrible.

I'm guessing about 3 pm. Its about an hour for you to get to Pollock Pines. Maybe an hour to find the trail head. Wheel for 3 hours. Then a 2-hour drive home to South Sac. I've found that time really flies by when I'm in the mountains wheeling.

You'll find our exit here is about 55 minutes from downtown Sac (I5 at J St). To MET, add about 5 minutes. Then however far up you go from that. To top of MET at Hwy 88 is another 25, so you're looking at less than that to any of the trails.

Only end I know how to find is at the top where the signs are. About 20 miles up. You can either go up MET or go into Kyburz and take Silver Fork Rd up to MET. Either way, you'll get to the top of MET and go past where Silver Fork Rd comes into it (big sign). After another 2 miles or so (and a cattle crossing guard), you'll drop down to a big curving right hand turn with a lot of leafy vegetation on both sides in this sort of valley (down to the right, you'll see a little pond). After you go around this long turn, go another tenth of a mile and there's a very big forest road on the right. That's what you want.

Stay on that road and you'll come to a couple signs. First one points left to some valley, right to Leek Springs Lookout. Stay right. Shortly after, you'll come to another split in the road with an arrow to the lookout. It points between the two. Go right up the rocky hill. Just stay on that and eventually you'll pass a road coming in from the left. The next road after that will have a big sign that says 4wd Only. That's the one. Or go straight for another quarter/half mile to the lookout while there. Good views. And yes, there's a picnic table and a bathroom. The tower is staffed with a nice lady who's there every summer with her dogs.

Well, who's planning on meeting up in Pollock Pines tomorrow?
    Fernando?
    TopCat?
    Bueller?

I'll be there regardless, in case someone decides to go at the last minute. Not sure if the wife will be with me.

Yeah, too much detail. On a google map, you can find where Silver Fork comes into MET. Go east on MET another couple of miles. After the big sweeping right turn in a treeless area, you'll come to Leek Springs rd. used to be a sign there, but I don't remember seeing it last weekend. Just get on the dirt road and go.

    EDIT: https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Pol...e824a17ec7374!2m2!1d-120.2774159!2d38.6293543

Ignore the time where it says 55 minutes. Wow, is that off! Maybe if it were snowing it might be accurate. In the summer, it's that long all the way to Carson Pass from there.
