Above the Downieville power plant, not sure how far up you can get right now. Past the river crossing goes into 4x4 advisable, more due to traction and grade pitch.

West of town, Poker Flat trail is nice.

Thanks for more tips guys! @NorCalTaco552 I was able to get in from the Colfax side and drive all the way through until Foresthill. There are some really tight sections due to the slides, the road is seriously messed up right now. One slide in particular that I nearly turned around at, only about a 1 foot wider at most than the truck, but was doable, if you brought a shovel, it could be widened and done easily. Cool place for a drive for sure, lot of flowing water right now.

Nope, never made it across that side of the road.

Spotted a similar set up off Bowman road, never went in to check it out.

You know how small our beds are. That's valuable space. Supply and demand curve is off the charts

I've made it to little Grass Valley @jqueener . Very cool area, a lot of forest roads and cool small lakes in the area. Specifically I've boated and camped at Sly Creek Reservoir several times, which is just above little Grass Valley. I was there last summer even, and some gnarly slides took out some sections of road, but still plenty of areas to explore. Highly recommend.

Some friends of mine camped there last year. They stayed at a established campground, but they said it was a good time

Found her 7-28-16! little dream Taco Trk BëBë, very simple, white 2014, V6 SR5 a beauty
#1 anti-theft CAT rebar weld, #2 McGard lock on tailgate, have floor trays & dash topper ordered.... wanna put some Michelins on instead of stupid dumb laps, just me...
Sactown Alley Girl! on our 3rd toy, first was a '74 "Lello Hilux", second was '89 "Bones" now we have '14 "Black ❤️ Beauty" (white with black interior!) SR5 Pre-Runner V6 best ever, but that little Hilux was a sweetie pie, we lived in P-Ville than and drove the heck out of her all over those hills with our 3 Girls & 2 big dogs sliding around under the campershell in back!! good times, no one was hurt in this experiment... gave her to my brother, the 89 threw a timing chain on Roseville Road right in front of the Dump transfer station, that was the first bad sign, then found bent valve too! took me 2 years to decide on Black Beauty, so you know we gotta be at least '60 ; ) & hundreds of thousands of happy miles thanks to TOY TRUCKS! Enjoy yours!!
