@HAVING FUN finally got all of my front suspension in hand. Thinking of replacing the UniBalls in the UCAs while I am at it. Maybe end of next month or the next we can try to plan a mod day or something. T4R brakes, wheel bearings, SS Lines, KING 2.5s, plus Ill have my new SCS wheels and rubbers mounted and ready for an alignment

Anybody want to do some wheeling around the eagle lakes/Cisco Grove area? I'll be up there all weekend if anyone wants to join.

Would love to but in all reality I really need skids before that. And probably to hack off a little of my exhaust pipe

I hear ya. I have full skids and sliders but I haven't had to use them yet. I stay off the crazy stuff. I like playing in the dirt, but my truck is my daily driver so I can't F it up too bad.

Would be great to rent the whole place for a Saturday for TW members. Invite some vendors, some food trucks, and have giant mod/meet/tacoma show day.

I managed to get to Eagle Lakes unscathed without skids and sliders. That was the second time I've done anything beyond a dirt road with some moguls. The first was up the trail to Signal Peak. If I can do it, you can do it. Didn't go on any part of the Fordyce trail though.

If you're smart about it, most things out at eagles lake (assuming you do the bypasses to the hard stuff) wont cause any issues. A group I went with did the Fordyce trail until about 10 min away from winch hill 1 (or so I'm told). My sliders got a work out, and my factory skids are... well formed to my undercarriage. But no broken parts or casualties besides my bent AF exhaust tip that keeps contacting my rear leafs lol. You'll be fine. I'd just recommend going left at the ford toward eagles lake. The right side (where my group went) is much harder, or so I'm told. And my truck is my DD too.

It really wasn't that bad, but we did have a basically stock 2nd get that got some rocker panel kisses on our run. With some mild armor and good lines, you'll be fine

@TacomaESQ did not say specifically what trails he was going to do and I'm not doing that Fordyce pre warm up again without some decent metal under my tcase and radiator

So, when your other buddies tell you that you can do it, you believe them.
My buddies do the same to me when I was on 32s. You can do the ruby.
