Wsup guys so, we created a group me thread for anyone interested. Kind of an easier way to communicate for the local sac members and if it gets too crazy it's easy to mute! Download it on your phone if you'd like.

You're invited to my new group 'SACRAMENTO TOYOTAS' on GroupMe

Super easy app to download. We're kind testing it out to see if it becomes useful. Trails , bbqs , beer, mod days all discussed!

What made it so hard on the stock Tacoma? I'm try to figure out what the limitations are on a stock Taco. I rarely get the opportunity to wheel with other people, so I'm wary to go by myself.

I may have tweaked a few things...
Do the trails off of the MET require each vehicle to have 4x4 or could a Prerunner get through with help? Of course I'm only talking about lower elevations, nothing with snow.

Looks like that's Park Creek Road. It's around 4200', so not likely any snow there now. I'm just speculating, but the trail might have storm damage (deep ruts from runoff, washouts, etc.) that could pose some difficulty for a stock Tacoma, especially a PreRunner. A PreRunner with rear locker might manage. I think a stock 4wd Tacoma would be fine with careful driving.

Yeah that second one was Park Creek and we would have been screwed without 4x4, big time water runoff, we were both picking tires up off the ground getting through the climb back up from Sly Park Creek. The first one off of Pilken would be do able in a prerunner, most of the other stuff would be too until you get further out off MET or higher up, there is no snow left up there at higher elevations either.
