I was up there Sunday, there was about 4-5 inches on the ground, probably more now. We drove around some roads up there, it was pretty fun.

No worries, have fun. I'm sure you already know this but be careful on Wentworth Springs, it iced over on our way back and people forget to take it slow. Lots of cars slid off into the ditch and we saw a couple accidents happen as well.

I was there on Sunday. There is plenty of snow, I think they got 4 more feet the day we left. If you stop by uncle toms. They might need help putting up some of the ham radio stuff I got them, my group was in a hurry to get off the mountain.

I just asked a friend who lives in that area, probably 10 regular minutes from stumpy.

    This is what he said

Idk man is pretty bad, lines and trees down everywhere probably not a good idea to be honest. We have not had power since Sunday
It's a shit show to be honest!

Yeah sounds bad, if you go out. Don't go alone, I've had trees go down behind me and block the road.

My friend also said people heading up might be turned around.

Maybe forest hill? I know they got a ton of snow and there's probably some traveled loops. I'll be in forest hill tomorrow visiting friends. Definitely taking the tacoma because this is what his driveway looks like right now. It's pretty steep.

I respect what your saying and the point your trying to make. I’m just looking to get out of my house. And play in the snow and not be part of the problem for caltrans… do you have any suggestions…?? I’m considering Parie city but really wanted the snow..

It’s hard for me to listen to my father in law bitch about the traffic on the HWYs making his job harder and more time consuming. When really all it take is for people to stay home and listen.. faster people listen.. faster the road can be clear. He is a cal trans supervisor and plows the the roads for a living..

edit… and you are the problem even if you thing you aren’t

Well, just got power back after 8.5 days. Trees and poles snapped all over my area. I’ve lived in these mountains for 30+ years and I’ve only seen it worse one time. Where I live (2850 elevation) we had nearly two feet of snow. The first day I was able to get out and tug some flat landers out of the snow. The next day everything started snapping. I’m almost certain my generator is going to go into hiding for awhile after all of this. It got straight abused!
