I have had both very good and very very bad experiences at the Sacramento 4WP location. I’ll leave it at this: make sure before you leave their parking lot that everything you paid to have done was actually done, and done correctly. This means making sure they didn’t leave a brake line uninstalled, or leaving ALL of your airbag sensors halfway reinstalled. Maybe you’ll find a refrigerant line bolted to absolutely nothing... All of that happened to me and I was livid. I did okay in the end but it took me finding numerous errors, correcting them myself, and getting $900 in labor refunded to me.

Make sure the work gets done completely and correctly if you are not the one doing it. Goes for any shop. Trust but verify.

It's pretty hard to keep them on the table with all that. What did you have all done there? Would just the alignment be a safe bet or ....?

LOL someone sent a PM pointing out it's not clear I'm just looking for a place to do alignment suggestions. I'll be the one getting dirty.

I think just an alignment would be a safe bet, yes, as their alignments have always been good for me. Tracks straight with no wandering.

I had aftermarket UCAs installed there because I didn’t have a press for the knuckle adapter. I also went with a full extended brake line kit, and new tires mounted and balanced. I think that was it. Their errors occurred during removal and reinstallation of nearby parts to replace the UCAs. After getting great work there the first time, I was stunned and very disappointed in the 2nd trip. Must have been a different tech. But still zero excuse. Improperly placed airbag sensors on both sides was what set me over. And the rear brake line was never installed because the tech thought I “didn’t need it” when it was the reason I got the kit in the first place. Fronts were a bonus, I wanted the extended rear. He made a judgement call without asking the customer. Just crazy.

Just an alignment should be safe. Expect a dirty steering wheel and whatever else gets touched.

I’ve been a service technician for 15 years and it is in fact possible to do quality work while also showing respect for people’s personal property and not leaving things a fucking mess. Common courtesy and all. Safety matters too unless that’s also hilarious.

I laughed mostly because I was working on my truck last night and this morning when I climbed in I got grease on my hand off the steering wheel.

i love 2 places. Both do great work on lifted trucks. And both locations go off roading, so they know what they are doing.

Both places cost me about $50-60 for my lifted Tacoma, and they did a great job. Just call them to schedule a appointment

I'm running 255/85r16s and have 2.5ish lift and ran it with stock uca and now have Camburg uca.
Found with 16x7 rims you need 4.5 BS.
With stock uca I wouldn't rub on the mud flaps.
With the Camburg uca the tires rubbed on the mud flaps and one tore off so I removed the other one.
The uca Camburg adds a couple degrees of caster at the top moving the tire towards the fire wall.

Think you should try the SPCs set to the setting that keeps the caster at the top set to the stock setting.
Not sure, might be the 0 degree setting.
You want someone who knows how to adjust caster and camber on SPC uca.

I have 2 spares so if you want to check fit of the 255/85r16 let me know, neighbor

Holly Smoke batman, the fitment check is a great offer I'll DM you on and plan to bring a six pack or something.
How heavy are you running and which Deaver pack are you running? I'd love to check out your rig. My truck is newish to me (less than a year) and I'm working through build priorities while fixing things that break while getting out.
    • done protection (sliders and skids),
    • next improve suspension, SPC UCA, and get appropriate rear springs,
    • shoes, tall shinnies,
    • bumper and winch or maybe front receiver with winch mounted in tray with power run to the rear for it also,

Exactly! I’m hoping that maybe a Sacramento member has a kid starting a band or is in a band, something that would justify a speaker the size.
