I don't think I'll need a spotter for what I want to do. I mainly just want to do a few laps around the track to help break in the leaf springs a bit more. That and see where my bumps are hitting with the new leafs in. When Jerry gets back and has more free time I will have my sliders welded on. Then my truck would be just about armored out except for a diff skid plate. Still lacking 33" tires :(

Lets set a date for another little PC meet. Either Friday the 12th or Saturday the 13th? If we do it Friday I can be a big boy and stay out later for dinner and stuff since I'm not working Saturday.

You start the thread. See what happens. I'm tired of organizing these things. I nominate you the new BWWs/Meet guy. I probably wont make it, I need to save up on money so I can afford to drive to Astoria the week after. Looks like I'll be taking the truck instead of the Prius.

Good luck with having to pay for that drive. Next Sunday I'm driving the 4runner to Vegas. It's gonna be costly but not as bad as driving the Tacoma.

Well lets just wait a bit then. I'll have my sliders on when Jerry gets back from his trip and has time. Then I can do more big boy trails.

Cool! No worries at all then. :)

You might demonstrate VHF and UHF while you are there. He may see how comparatively limited a CB is and go for a Tech license. :D KW6T

Dude I've been preaching ham around here for years. But taking a super easy test is too much work for most people.

Not bad...my truck made it through fine but my friends had some difficulty. We got it all the through though, but it took hours lol. Got dark while we were halfway through which didn't help. His truck got some scratches and some skidplate damage and that was it. Careful spotting and lots of rock stacking prevented any major damage lol

    Nice! yeah, light's nice...
I've been debating doing slickrock. I'm completely open, but JLee said that I could probably do it as long as I pick a good line, which sounds like your strategy

Yea picking the right line is key! We all had lockers which really helped but you could probably do it without one. Sliders are highly recommended though! Mine saved me several times!

What's rock stacking? I'm picturing you building steps with rocks to help get more clearance over stuff.
