    Dane,
Thanks again for the brake hand-me-downs. I appreciate the generosity. Looking forward to getting that upgrade done.

Any noticeable improvement on your new setup?

Of course, always glad to help someone out.

I should be bedding in the brake pads today. Just from what I have noticed already they are obviously better. They're not like twice as good or anything, but the initial bite is a whole lot better, that is for sure. I am sure I took some yards off of my stopping distance as well.

I may have tweaked a few things...
So one of the projects I was looking to discuss is upgrading my shocks to Bilstein 5100s. I've heard the rears are fairly simple to install so I'm planning to do those myself. But the fronts are going to be a bit more complicated, and I certainly don't have the tools (the coils have to be compressed right?) or experience to figure it out . I have a quote to install the fronts and realign for $200, so worst case I'll do that.

If anyone with the tools and experience to install all 4 shocks is interested in teaching me how it's done I would be willing to pay out of my current budget (as long as I have enough left to get the alignment done). This is something I'm looking to do in the next month or so. Just waiting to see if I can find a better deal than $340 (with tax) for the set of new 5100s. If anyone here is interested please send me a message!

Rears are strait forward, off and on.

Front can be done without a compressor, use your vehicle as one.
There's a how to do DIY instruction on this site somewhere.

Edit.... Just did the procedure this weekend.

I've heard that you can do that, I'll look into it more. I just didn't want to get stuck trying to bite off more than I can chew. I have a decent set of tools for DIY stuff, but nothing fancier than a torque wrench.

Well that's normal at these gatherings.
Plenty will say they are coming, some will post at last minute not able to make it now, and a few that just don't show.

    I'm used to it.

I tried to bring enough beer for everyone.
My mod for the day was ImMrYo rear view mirror relocate thing. Did it after I got home. And in the shade. Was a bit warm.
