Gears made a huge difference, I feel bad for those running 35's on stock gears ;)

Glad to hear! I want to regear but it doesn't make sense to regear the front if I swap out axles. Hopefully the 4.56 is plenty for the 315s still

I have had to change my throttle usage as initially I was spinning the rears like a teenager when pulling off from intersections. Another plus is right now my speedometer is "dead nuts accurate" for a change. Will post what happens when I reinstall 35's.

Happens every time for me too.. Except its worse for me (4.88 gears on 33's). People think im racing them off the line but its just so much torque

Exactly, what Chris said. Trust me I've been thinking of re gearing for a while now, but everytime I start thinking about re gear I think about SAS. So for now it can wait, Once I get home I'm going to start a part/price breakdown list for everything so I can get all my ducks in a row for the swap :D

Thats my problem.. I want to SAS but then you are going to want to run 40's, and if you do that then you need to find a rear axle, then rebuild/paint that one too, then leaf springs etc.. and the original price doubles. Then I also thought "do I really want to use 25+ year old axles?" So I'd want to do ruff stuff 1 tons like bayareataco and just do it right..

Use the 05+ superduty axles. 35 spline factory and 9.75 or 10 inch ring gear. Larger knuckles as well. Overall stronger.

The fab 9s leave the weak point in the ring/pinion which is going to be a more expensive fix when it goes.

I've heard so many different things from different people saying "use ford cause they are have the strongest___" or "Chevy because their knuckles are stronger than ford" or something. Idk I think where Im at in life now LT is the best option. I'd love to SAS but don't have the time to do it correctly.

The old style ball joint knuckles were weaker and prone to cracking for Ford. Same as the king pin knuckles. The newer knuckles arent known for failing, if they do its far and few from what I've been reading.

I'm okay with this, when he pulls those ADS off the front I want them to be as new as possible.

Who did you get the frame plating from? I've tried to look for the GB that he held but can't find it :frusty:
