Why did you mount an air tank as opposed to CO2? I posted about doing that on my truck and everyone made it sound like I would hate it and now I'm searching for a used CO2 tank. What type of compressor do you have to keep up with it?

I didn't want to hassle with refilling CO2, although I can see the benefits to it. Plus I can turn mine on and run it anytime I want without any problems.

The tank isn't very useful except for when I've been using it to build pressure and set the tire beads on my motorcycle. For the truck the tank depletes pretty quick on one tire and then youre waiting for the compressor to air up anyways. It's a viair 450h.

Ah, your last point was exactly what I was looking to hear. I wanted a tank, but figured that after I aired up one tire, I'd have to wait for the compressor to catch up. At that point you might as well not even have a tank.

Yea pretty much. I haven't tried to run air tools because I don't have any. I'm sure co2 is nice, I wouldn't mind one. But knowing my luck I would forget to have it filled

Tent is on the truck. What a holy pain to get the nuts tightened.

I kinda figured I could have done it that way, but honestly I was too lazy to measure the distance of where the crossbars needed to be

The only other tool I'd run off an air tank would be an impact gun, and those use air so fast that a small tank wouldn't be effective

They use air so fast that you'd need dual air tanks and a hard mount tank to be able to run one off an onboard compressor, even at that you can't run a normal size gun.

    Good idea.
I prefer the brute force method as well. Only ever seem to have issues with bolts after an impact gets used

I have 3 pneumatic impact guns. It would be hard to go buy an electric one

Oath, plus you can pack one in the truck and have an excuse to mount that 20lb C02 tank.
