    Aloha all,

Well I decided to sell my Tacoma today. I got offered 40k for it so needless to say I took the offer.. Has been a good truck for the year i had it, but money talks sometimes :)

Going to try something new, going to pick up a Fully loaded Nissan frontier Pro-4x

Only mod i will be doing soon will be a radio (pioneer touchscreen and rear camera)

Rest of the money is going for a down payment on the new truck, cool thing is I will a tiny car payment.....

You're going to hate the Frontier. Sad to see your taco go, you had a very interesting truck needless to say but if money talks, money talks! Best of luck to you!

Why would he hate the Frontier? I have them both and tend to lean more towards liking our Frontier better in every regard. I enjoy the Taco cause it has a stronger aftermarket(when I can afford to take advantage of that it'd be nice haha), about it, besides also being a solid truck like the Frontier.

Good luck with the new truck, we love ours.

I agree with this, Both trucks are good trucks, I have no plans of lifts for the frontier, so knowing that I think its a good choice.. I dont like the look of a factory taco.......

I like Nissan's Engines, i think its much stronger then toyota...

Isn't the frontier going to have a new design soon? Why didn't you wait for a fresher look? I would hate to date the same girl twice :)

If he plans on keeping it for a long time, he's going to have a basket case of headaches on his hands (lots of repairs, and if it's anything like the nissans I worked on in the past which were as new as 2009's even 2010's at the time, they were straight up oil leakers)....

By no means am I hating at all, I just have a strong dislike in Nissan's quality after working on countless of them firsthand.

Great place for nissan lifts, I've met the owner personally when I owned a Titan. Greg is a great guy.

    Enjoy the fronty!

Honestly I could say the same thing about our v6 in the taco, or at least repeat what my brother in law tells me, he's the master tech at his Toyota/scion dealer, and the camrys are apparently also always in there too for problems.

I've yet to read about any problems with leaking oil on the VQ engines, but it does not mean it doesn't happen just like there are common problems with toyotas we may not catch wind of because they aren't posted on the forums.

Either way I love both of the trucks, and favor the VQ more in every regard. We both have our opinions though, I've had just as good as luck with my Nissans as I have with my Toyotas. Both build amazing products.

I have never seen a Toyota puke and spill its guts all over the entire engine block in such few miles as I have seen the Nissan's do. I have also heard stories where the plastic portion of the tanks on the radiator itself become unglued on the Nissans, transmissions going out on them like they are GM's, the list goes on and on. Obviously every part is fixable and there is better built stuff out there, but as far as I am concerned, at least make it so it'll last 36k+ !!!

Enjoy the Fronty the Pro-4X is is a good looking truck. I've owned a 02', 05', 08' Frontiers as well as a 2010 Xterra and had no issues with any of them except drivers side window regulators. The reason I bought a Toyota and not another fronty was the dash Nissan needs to work on a better looking dash.

The pro 4X is becoming very popular. I see them on the road in my travels. I still like my TX PRO better. Nissan will do well with this truck. Its going to really compete with the tacos

Does the guy buying it know he is getting utterly ripped off? I'm fairly certain you could build a brand new one with a DB lift for less than that

I think it comes with a motorcyle or another car in the bed.

The Frontiers are ok, but the Tacoma styling is much better IMO. Good luck with the new truck.
