Sorry Poseur! Not a cool aid drinker. I think the 3rd Gen is a pile.

Subaru also make "safe cars". My only point is there are plenty options…….

    Enjoy!

I know. Sounds disrespectful, same like going to a funeral and asking the widow if you can have the tools of the freshly departed husband...
All I need is the driver and front passenger seatbelt buckles. Have been looking all over and impossible to get them. Will buy them.

I just want the tail lights:p.
But usually if it's declared totaled, you don't get to go pulling parts off.
Insurance will sell it salvaged, or part it out themselves.

I'm glad to hear no one was hurt. The roads in Spokane were deceivingly slick today. One of my co-workers hurt his back when he slipped on the ice getting out of his vehicle this morning. I hope your claim works out the way you want.

That was a mistake on multiple levels. First, you put your own safely at risk doing that. If your child was also in the vehicle, you are a complete moron. Second, you put everyone else on the road at risk. Your steering, brakes, suspension, etc. could have failed and caused another wreck. And third, the insurance companies can claim you caused additional damage by driving it. They will screw with you.

Glad you are ok, but don't attempt to drive a car with that kind of damage in the future. It's a really stupid idea.

I know as soon as I get my truck exactly where I'm happy with it, this will happen, and my luck it'll be a broed out 2nd gen Dodge with a fawking Cummins sticker in the rear window, or a Ridgeline.

I was prepared to say goodbye but then the insurance company said not so fast. They gonna repair it. Having mixed feelings about it.

You should be able to provide what you paid for the truck and what used ones are selling for in the area. Never take their first estimate.

I'd keep pushing to get that truck be totaled. It's costing you to not be in possession of a clean title vehicle. The truck will not be worth nearly the same again. Plus it wasn't even your fault. They're pulling some shenanigans and it seems like nobody will advocate for you except for you. I hope you get a better outcome than they're giving you so far.

2 things have Toyota repair it, they will find hidden damage and run the price higher possibly pushing it over the amount to total it. 2 tell the insurance company you want a written and signed letter guaranteeing it will perform the same if another accident were to happen.

Make sure you file a diminished value claim. It will never be the same.

I've seen new Tacoma trucks on copart totaled that didn't look as bad as yours. Copart is a salvage company that insurance companies use.
