low and behold - wonder of wonders Toyota just names its "mystery color" for TRD Pro. Ugly pumpkin-orange like hue that most buyer wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

So Toyota pumps the TRD Pro new color with out offering

    Truck prices along all trims.
No mileage report for all trims.
No truck dimensions for all trims.
No 0 to 60 for all trims.
No firm dates for 2024 deliveries
    Etc.

But what the heck - you can go to sleep tonight having nightmares about the new Tacoma orange color and then wake up and realize your dream was REAL.

Well put. I love Toyotas but a absolutely hate Toyota marketing and dealerships.

Tell me MPGs, tell me 0-60. Allow people to compare these vehicles.

The lack of communication tells me that this truck probably looks very bad on paper stacked up against the Ranger and GM offerings.

I think it looks great. I won’t own a Pro but if they offered it on an OR I’d get it. Sorry it triggered you. I hope your day gets better.

How is this different than any other manufacture? GM releases the new Twins around August 2022. Pricing and online builder not available until November/December? EPA certification not available until Jan 2023. Over that time frame bits of information came out. Same thing Toyota is doing.

    Is red.

Toyota already has one shade of red and now there will be two.

Usually the color is available to all trims the year after the Pro

And just like Toyota, the ZR2 still isn’t in the ground. Why advertise your most off road oriented truck then blue ball your customers for 10-18 months.

people expect dealers to know things. they're normally the last to know. most dealers i've worked with, they only know things are coming down the pipeline when random people start throwing cash around the showroom for to "pre-order" something.

As a former dealer I usually don’t bash the industry but when I was getting the oil changed in the V I asked a salesman if the new Canyon they had online was there yet. He said nah not yet. I’m like oh it’s probably going through hail inspection at the factory. He told me he didn’t know it hailed in Michigan. I was like bruh, they’re made in Missouri. I guess as a car addict I know these things, but his non-caring attitude was like bleh.
