Damn I know prices of stuff have gone up a lot but 50k for an alternator is ridiculous.

How did it come up with a camshaft error over an alternator replacement?

What exactly lead you to replace the alternator?
    Battery connections tight?
How many Volts do you have at battery?

Alternator was rattling badly like you can hear the knocking sound super embarrassing to be driving around like that. The Alternator wouldnt spin like normal i guess the bearing inside were shot out. Replaced it then installed the new one. Pushed the start button but wouldn't start on the 1st try. Then my check engine light came on along with Trac off....plugged in the obd scanner and that code came on for the camshaft position sensor. Replaced that as well. Then tried again to start it up...

My truck wants to turn on but won't just keeps cranking over an over. Idk if it'll be the camshaft sensor or what

Did you disconnect the battery b4 replacing the alternator?

A mistake was made somewhere, or a fuse blew, or the new alternator could be bad.

    What brand alternator?

Check the connectors on your sensors. You may have knocked one of them loose.

Rechecked all connectors everything is all plugged in nothing is pinched. Oriellys brand don't remember name. All fuses are good. Double checked those as well. Going to swap out crankshaft sensor today

Put the old noisy alternator back in. If the truck starts, take the new alternator back to the store and get a different new alternator.

Made that mistake myself once. Sparks were flying lmao. Good thing it was a 90's honda civic, didn't even blow the fuse.

With all due respect, stop playing swap-a-part, that’ll end up costing you more time, money, and frustration in the end. Get it to an actual tech to properly diagnose, it’ll be cheaper than spinning the wheel at the parts store or having the internet play guessing games with your time and money.
