What is a safe leveling kit and rear blockers for tacoma 3rd gen. I have a 2019 tacoma SR 4wd v6 double cab and its completely stock. I dont want a full on lift kit because i dont off road my truck nor do i want it to look too ridiculous. And its a daily driver and i want it to look good. And what are pros and cons of leveling kits and damage it will or wont do to the truck. Ive seen in videos that the highest you can go is a 3 inch leveling kit. But let me know.

Blocks and spacers aren’t safe in my opinion.

They aren't ideal for offroading, but if you're going for looks you'll be fine.

The problem with leveling kits on 2016+ tacoma is they all vibrate the front axle shaft bushing after 2+ " of front lift. So you'll need to do the ECGS bushing as well.

Pro's - It's cheap and rides fair. Rides better than the pre-load lift of a 5100 clip lift.

Con's - It can bottom out hard offroading. It causes the axle vibration. Rides worse than a proper coil over lift.

I was scheduled to go in to get a spacer lift installed this week but after some last second research I came across complaints of ride quality, vibrations, possible damage to the front struts from bottoming out. Ended up calling the shop up and changing it over to a Bilstein 5100 setup with OME coil and add a leaf for a few hundred more to put my mind at ease.

But those who have them swear they don't have issues. I plan on doing some off-roading so it made more sense for me to go with the suspension lift instead.

Is 2 inch leveling kit pushing it?
And will i need a spacer block for the rears?

2" in the front still vibrates.

I had 2 in the front and zero in the rear. I was one of the first 3rd gens to get the ECGS bushing done.

Ideally 2" lift in the front, and a block in the rear.

There's very few cons to 1" spacers in the rear, nearly all other options in raising the rear involve raising load limits which cause poor ride.

I dont load my truck or tow heavy. Maybe the occasional maybe like 500 pound loads in the bed for business supplies but nothing super heavy

I put a 3 inch lift kit in from Rough Country, came with rear shocks. The whole kit was $300. I find ppl around here find anything with that name a sin, but it was relatively inexpensive, install was easy, and it looks absolutely fantastic. I do not notice any ride difference at all, except for being higher than most everyone else, which I view as a plus. My brother in law is a mechanic and he said that if you decide to put a lift in you may get a little quicker wear on front end parts, but that's worth it to me in how it turned out.

I'm personally debating between the Headstrong Off-road 1" front spacer with no rear lift or the fox stage 1 coil over and shock package also from headstrong. Just looking for a level, no off-road activities anticipated. Like others have said, once you go to 2", to do it right adds a lot more to the project, diff drop, sway spacer, carrier spacer, ECGS bushing... So that why I think I'm going to stick with just a leveling kit either spacer or the fox CO kit. But I'm also a "have it and not need it vs need it and not have it" kind of guy. So once I get on the phone with HS off-road I may change my tune... Time will tell.
