I am running TSS version 2.0. What would happen if the unit initiated the Pre-Collision braking feature, and at the same time, I pressed down on the throttle? Would the system ignore the input from the throttle? Or if the system alerted me to brake, but instead I hit the throttle? Such as if I needed to accelerate quickly to avoid a collision?

What about adaptive cruise control? If the system decelerates but the user accelerates, what does the system do? Ignore the acceleration? Also, it seems like when adaptive cruise control is on, the following distance when following a larger vehicle (semi) is greater (increased) than when following a passenger vehicle. Even thou the distance to follow is set the same, and the speed is the same. Am I write in that assumption?

Any user input would override the system. If the PCS applies the brakes, you can push on the gas and accelerate instead.

If you accelerate during adaptive cruise, the truck will accelerate until you let off the throttle. If there is still a vehicle within the distance you set, it will apply the brakes until you are at the determined distance behind that vehicle, then cruise will continue at either the specified distance or speed...whichever is slower.

As for the semi, the truck doesn't know what is in front of you. It only uses radar that rebounds a signal. So the distance should be the same.
