I originally purchased a ‘21 TRDOR with an auto last November and kicked myself for not waiting for a manual. With crazy trade-in values I decided to look into ordering a manual trans. A local dealer had this on their website but hadn’t been delivered yet so I made an appointment and sure enough, 7 months later and 16,000 miles in the odometer, the dealer gave me thousands more for my TRDOR than what I paid for it new. So I put a deposit on the Lunar Rock and here we are.

I am self employed - I have a Home inspection business.

I need to hire somebody for how busy I am :D

Today I inspected a house and detached garage in Lawrence, KS that matched the truck perfectly

I've always wondered if parking in 2 stalls thwarts door damage, or attracts it..

So I am hard topper curious…. I haul large items in the bed from time to time and a topper would throw a wrench in those spokes. A soft roll up tonneau cover makes the most sense for how I use the truck.

I would love to get a Decked drawer system but that takes up a lot of bed height - this would prevent me from keeping a Little Giant ladder covered under the tonneau. With a decked system and a topper, I could have things covered and the drawer system.

I am hesitant spending $2500+ on a topper at the moment because I am unsure whether I will like it. I would prefer to find a god deal on one and wrap it in flat black vinyl.

Until I find a deal on a used topper, I decided to install a used tonneau - Truxedo Truxport.

Westcott Designs TRD PRO front lift. Also have a set of wheelers add-a-leafs and Toytec 1” body lift (if needed). Will hopefully get these installed in the next couple weeks.

2wd Low was finally restocked. Installed that but am still waiting on a switch - using an extra light bar switch in the meantime.

My next BIG purchase is the DC Roof Rack...and I'm also looking at the Prinsu DC Roof Rack. Yours looks quite nice and the site says, "This rack is “drill-free” and requires zero modification to your vehicle."

I’ve had the prinsu rack on a 2nd gen and 3rd gen. It’s a good rack but you have to put sealant on the bolts. The sherpa is a lot thicker material and uses a rubber seal to keep water out of the holes in the body channel. On the sherpa, the side plates are secured to the crossbars - 3 cross bars transfer the load to the mount brackets and then to the body. On a prinsu, the side plates mount to the roof channel. I’m sure there is a thread on this somewhere but the sherpa has a better load path from roof rack rails to the body.

Oh, I saw the YouTube video describing the mounting plates. Weight distribution is key. Thanks for the info!
