I’m cheap to I would just let it sag if he don’t need the extra a inch.

Good luck, but it seems you have a hardware failure or a bad case of the Installation.

Wow, that's it huh? Damn.. mine are going on tomorrow. How disappointing, thought OME was the way to go for sure.

Installation is flawless so I'm pretty pissed about it all. I'll figure it out. I guess a could think of worse things to do than spending the day wrenching on my truck.

    Work in progress...
I had the 887"s/5100's for a couple of years and 35,000 miles. They held up pretty good for me. I added sliders and they dropped a little and then I added a front bumper and well eventually I ended up on the 6112's with 650 pound springs. This photo, the 887's probably had 18 months and 25,000 miles on them.

I would look into another set of 887's. I have read some threads that OME now makes the 887X's. Which I'm not sure when you purchased your kit, but supposedly the X version is less prone to sag. Re-design after so many complaints.

May I pose a rookie question... for my 19 SR5. I will have a bed rack and overlander tent on the back. Probably 15% minor off roading... camping, hunting, fun..etc. Mainly street driving. Am looking to level out front and rear, get a minor lift, maybe 2", while maintaining stock wheels and tires (for now) 245/75R16. Would like a little stiffer ride from the roll and sway, but enough give for daily driving.

Ive been saving for the 887/5100 kit from bilstein.

What I am reading here is that the 887s are going to sag eventually... is that all dependent on the "added" features of everyone's truck? Such as winches, bumpers...etc... Or are the 887s just prone to usage over time failure and look at something stiffer?

And as soon as I posted that, I see they are out of stock...looks like others have agreed as well! Other retailers like Wheelers may have some in stock:

    Same... Ha!...
I have a local shop that sells similar kits to these... what's the consensus on TuffCountry, RoughCountry or ReadyLift?
Its pretty much all they offer, and if I can buy local, I would.

Those brands are probably good, I have no experience with them. Eibach's reputation and history of making quality stuff is what I really like. And the fact that the coils are made for these shocks and this kit is made for the Tacoma.
Eibach should be paying me for this! haha

The ones I have are 887X. Guess they still have not fixed the issue.

Replaced the 887s with 886s today. Gained almost 2" for a total of 2.75" lift over stock. I'm sure these will settle in but as long as they stay over 2", I'll be happy. The ride is fine.
